
The Cisco ROSA Element Manager (EM) Administration instructor-led course teaches you how to manage the Cisco ROSA Element Manager (EM) components in a network. In this course, you will learn how to customize a ROSA EM to reflect the configuration of a network, gain the knowledge to interpret alarm data from ROSA EM, and change system parameters.
Using hands-on exercises to reinforce the learning enables you to practice navigating the ROSE EM GUI and to configure devices. In addition, you will learn how to recognize, locate, and acknowledge alarms.
Log on to ROSA EM and navigate using the directory tree and the graphical interface window
Recognize system data presented in ROSA EM, including the significance of alarm colors and levels, and identify how to adjust levels of managed devices
Locate and interpret various useful reports and logs such as the active alarms report and the alarm, system, and software logs
Recognize the troubleshooting process and understand how ROSA EM aids in that process
Use ROSA EM information to determine a viable course of action in the event of alarms
Adjust device parameters to reflect current headend or hub site conditions
Use the ROSA EM tools environment to perform initial configuration and transfer files to and from the ROSA EM
Edit the device list file to modify the network configuration and group devices
Configure notification groups including paging, email and backup options
Perform system administration functions for the ROSA
