
The Cisco Prime Network (CPNET) version 4.0 instructor-led course is a lab-intensive course that introduces you to the Cisco Prime Network management application. Cisco Prime Network is a service- centered comprehensive management solution for dynamic and complex multiservice networks, including Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Carrier Ethernet, data center, and mobility. Cisco Prime Network offers comprehensive service assurance and device management for the packet/IP domain with advanced capabilities including virtual connectivity discovery, root-cause identification, topology-driven troubleshooting, and alarm reduction through topology-based correlation and deduplication.
The Cisco Prime Network course teaches students how to install, configure, customize, and effectively use Cisco Prime Network. Students gain an understanding of the primary components of the Cisco Prime Network architecture; guidelines for deployment; details of preparing the platform to manage the network; usage of the main Cisco Prime Network features (topology, inventory, fault management, reports, command implementation, configuration management, image management, and compliance audit); and the concepts, processes, and tools that allow customization of Cisco Prime Network to meet the specific needs of the customer's unique network (Soft Properties, Command Builder, Command Manager, Transaction Manager, and VNE Customization Builder).
This course combines lecture materials and hands-on labs throughout to make sure that you are able to successfully deploy Cisco Prime Network in order to manage your network.
